This Shipping Policy explains how we process, ship, and deliver orders placed on otakudreams.com for customers worldwide.

1. Order processing time

At Otaku Dreams, our products are not shipped like typical ready-stock items.

Most of our orders go through a longer preparation timeline because of the way our production and fulfillment process works.

Estimated processing and production time: 2 to 3 months from the date of your order.

This stage includes order collection, production, quality checks, packing, and preparation for international shipment.

Processing time is separate from the delivery time after dispatch.

2. Shipping method

We primarily ship orders through ocean freight.

This allows us to offer our products at better value while handling international fulfillment more efficiently.

Because ocean freight takes longer than air shipping, delivery timelines are significantly longer than standard e-commerce shipping.

3. Delivery time

After your order is processed and dispatched, shipping and final delivery usually takes:

Estimated transit time: 1 to 1.5 months

So from the date you place your order to the date it is delivered, the overall estimated delivery time is around 3 to 4 months.

This overall timeline includes:

  • Processing and production time
  • Packing and dispatch
  • Ocean freight transit
  • Final local delivery

These are estimated timelines and may vary depending on destination country, customs clearance, local courier handling, and seasonal demand.

4. Overall delivery estimate

For most orders, you can expect your package to arrive within approximately:

3 to 4 months from the date of purchase

We always aim to deliver as early as possible within this time frame, but due to the nature of our production and shipping process, longer timelines should be expected.

5. Shipping locations

Otaku Dreams offers worldwide shipping.

We ship to most countries around the world.

If we are unable to deliver to a particular country or address for any reason, we will contact you and either:

  • cancel and refund the order, or
  • offer an alternative solution where possible

6. Shipping costs

We keep our shipping charges simple and transparent:

  • For orders below 50 USD
    Shipping fee: 2 USD
  • For orders of 50 USD or more
    Shipping fee: Free

All prices are shown in USD.

Any customs duties, import taxes, or local charges imposed by your country are not included in the shipping fee and are the responsibility of the customer.

7. Tracking information

Tracking will be provided once your order has been shipped.

You will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking details after dispatch.

Because orders are shipped through ocean freight and may pass through multiple logistics stages, tracking updates may not appear immediately and can sometimes take time to update.

8. Incorrect address and failed delivery

Please make sure that your shipping address is complete and accurate at checkout.

If:

  • the address provided is incorrect or incomplete,
  • the carrier is unable to deliver because of an address issue, or
  • the package is returned because it was not claimed or could not be delivered, then Otaku Dreams is not responsible for delivery failure caused by incorrect customer-provided address details.

If the package is returned to us:

  • we may reship it to a corrected address, but additional shipping charges may apply, or
  • if a refund is approved, it may be limited according to our Return and Refund Policy

If you notice an address mistake after placing the order, please contact us immediately at contact@otakudreams.com. If the order has not yet been shipped, we will do our best to update it.

9. Customs, duties, and taxes

For international orders, your shipment may be subject to:

  • import duties
  • customs fees
  • local taxes
  • other charges imposed by your country

These charges are not included in our product prices or shipping fee and must be paid by the customer where applicable.

Otaku Dreams does not control these charges and cannot predict the amount.

If customs charges are refused and the parcel is returned to us, we may issue a refund only after deducting any shipping, return, handling, or customs-related costs incurred.

If the parcel is abandoned, destroyed, or not returned to us, a refund may not be possible.

10. Lost, stolen, or damaged packages

Lost or stolen after delivery

Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, Otaku Dreams is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after delivery.

If your tracking shows delivered but you did not receive the package, please:

  • check with neighbours, family members, or building management
  • confirm the shipping address entered at checkout
  • contact the carrier for further assistance

You may also contact us and we will try to assist where possible, but final resolution may depend on the carrier.

Damaged package

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Please share:

  • clear photos of the outer packaging
  • clear photos of the item
  • an unboxing video if available

We will review the case and handle it according to our Return and Refund Policy.

11. Split shipments

In some cases, an order may be shipped in multiple parts.

This can happen if:

  • certain items are ready earlier than others, or
  • logistics require separate shipments

If your order is split, you may receive multiple shipping confirmation emails and separate tracking details where available.

Shipping charges and free shipping eligibility are calculated based on the full order value, not per parcel.

12. Delivery delays

We always aim to deliver within the estimated 3 to 4 month timeline, but delays can sometimes happen due to factors outside our control, including:

  • high order volumes
  • production delays
  • port congestion
  • customs inspections
  • local courier delays
  • weather disruptions
  • incomplete address details

While exact delivery dates cannot be guaranteed, we will do our best to support you if your order is delayed significantly beyond the estimated time frame.

13. Pre-orders and special drops

Some Otaku Dreams products may be offered as pre-orders or part of limited drops.

For such items:

  • the estimated shipping or delivery timeline will be mentioned on the product page where applicable
  • items in the same order may be shipped together once all items are ready, unless stated otherwise
  • if separate shipping is requested for different items, extra charges may apply

All pre-order and special drop timelines are estimates and may shift slightly depending on production and logistics conditions.
